Yeah, so in the midst of the mayhem of the last few months, keeping up with my little monthly book round ups may have gotten away from me a little... oops.
To be honest, I was tempted to just start fresh in the new year, but that neurotic little voice in the back of my brain wasn't having any of it, so I made a compromise with myself to mush four months into one post with really brief thoughts on each (because the pile is kinda hefty!), then I'll aim to do December's round up as normal & promise to do better in 2019 ;)
Ready? Let's go...

What Leslieanne Read In July
I tried to make the photo of July's books extra girlie, since the book choices themselves seem to have taken a bit of a sinister turn!
Turns out, contrary to all my protesting when the Tall One tried to pull me into his literary world of thrillers and crime, I actually do like a bit of the darkside! (I'm going to have to throw in some sappy romance next month to even things out though!)
Of the five I read in July, I really enjoyed all but one - so let's get the less great one out of the way first shall we...

What Leslieanne Read in June
Yes, you read the title right - June's reads... on the 20th July. Oops.
(At least you can tell I had good intentions - the photo was taken weeks ago - the peonies are long gone!)
I'd feel less bad about it, but there were only two books to write about! Which feels sort of like slacking in itself since the last few months have had much bigger stacks, but it was a busy month and both of these took me a while to get through, for different reasons.
Anyhoo, shall we crack on before I'm supposed to start writing up July's reads?! Let's go...

What Leslieanne Read In May...
Oops.
Slightly belated book round up this month, sorry! (I actually had two emails asking where it was though, which made me smile - thank you for those!)
Anyway, the delay is partly due to a half term hangover (why is it so hard to remember how the real world works after a week off?) and partly because, as you can see, it's a pretty big ol' pile of books to chat about. Let's jump in shall we?

What Leslieanne Read in April...
It's May already?
Yes, this year is wooshing (technical term) and it's a bit scary to be honest, so let's not dwell and just crack on with the books instead.
I've built up quite a big stack through April - six books to tell you about (partly because two were so good I gobbled them up in 2 days each, and partly because we had quite a few train journeys last month, which are always great for a bit of quality bookworm time).
I enjoyed all six, (some more than others) and I think I've covered quite a good jumble of genres again, so let's jump in shall we?

What Leslieanne Read in March...
So this is a slightly delayed reading round up, but quite frankly, if you throw a four day weekend full of chocolate and the first week of Easter Holidays (my FAVOURITE holidays!) into the mix, a gal like me who is generally only just keeping up with life, is going to be subject to delays!
ANYWAY! Last month's books were a really mixed bag; content wise, so hopefully there's something for everyone to maybe stick on their to read list. Let's get cracking shall we?

What Leslieanne Read in February
Brr! Bit flipping chilly, isn't it?
February's had a few moments where I was sure I could smell spring in the air, but this last week it totally shot me down. 24 carat winter!
On the upside, cold days are totally perfect for bundling up in a blanket with a cuppa and a book right?
Which is largely what I've been doing :)
So here's what I've got through this month...

What Leslieanne Read in January...
As ever, one of my New Year's intentions was to read more books. Well, so far so good! (Certainly better than the 'less coffee, more water' venture. Must try harder on that one.) January was a long old month, but at least it was filled with some excellent reads!
I've tried to stack my little pile over there <<< in order of favourites, but I keep changing my mind about the top 3 and to be honest, they're a real mixed bag & I'd absolutely recommend all of them for different reasons, so read on and see if one takes your fancy...
